Does it snow much in Leavenworth? I guess it depends what you are used to.
Here is a picture I took in downtown Leavenworth, a block from the Windermere office. Try and remember that it snows a lot more in Plain and Lake Wenatchee than it does down in town.

A question on local conditions.
Hwy 2 is closed west of mile post 99, which appears to be Coles Corner.
Is local traffic allowed west toward Merritt, or is it really blocked?
Dave- MP 99 on U.S. Highway 2 is at Leavenworth and Icicle Road at the base of Tumwater Canyon. Tumwater Canyon is pretty notorious for slides and rockfall. I don't know about local traffic being allowed to Merrit (or other private homes along Highway 2, like those near Lake Yolanda or Coles Corner areas like Coulter Creek, Pine Cone, Evergreen Ave, High Mountain Meadows, etc.) If you need to get to Merritt you might call the local WSDOT office in Wenatchee at 509-667-3000.
Dave-
Here is a picture from the WSDOT. This is one of numerous slides in Tumwater Canyon just west of Leavenworth.

I've heard there is a major historical outage area around the candy store and water dam about 6-7 miles west of Leavenworth.
Thanks for where MP99 is really located!
Dave
